Yoga for Pregnancy

Exploring yoga practices which restore balance and vitality during pregnancy
Yoga offers a variety of practices that can assist you in enjoying your pregnancy. Health, increased awareness, clarity of mind and connection with your baby are all possible outcomes of the classes.

A workshop and course of six weekly classes
The morning workshops at the commencement of each short course are aimed to introduce students to the core practices that are of benefit during pregnancy. There are some asana (physical postures), pranayama (breathing practices), meditation practices and chanting, which are able to restore balance and vitality during pregnancy. The weekly classes enable students to consolidate the practices so they are able to use them independently as needed throughout the course of their pregnancy and during birth.

Presenter: Christine Kalimurti
Christine is a South African with Welsh and New Zealand parents who recently moved to Abertawe (Swansea) to continue training to be a midwife. She was living near London where she taught yoga classes in a variety of places on a full time basis for two years. She has a particular interest in pregnancy yoga. We hope to be able to offer these classes and workshops in the Summer.
